Why play club soccer?
How much does it cost?

The fee for the single spring 2012 season is $200.00 plus uniform which will is $85. Current fee’s for a full year which includes the fall and spring seasons is $360 plus uniform. A $100 deposit is required when you sign up to play. The balance can be broken into payments as outlined on the Financial Commitment Form. Limited Partial scholarships are available. A team may play up to two tournaments in a single season. Tournament cost are in addition to the regular season fee’s. Most tournaments will cost any where from $50 to $100 per player. That means hotel cost may be incurred if a tournament is not local. Most of these cost can be reduced with the use of a Kroger cares card. There are some people who end up with no out of pocket expenses. Teams also do fundraiser's to reduce the cost as well. Keep in mind, there are other aspects of club soccer that just can’t be matched by free recreational soccer. Like they say, you get what you pay for.

How often do we practice?

A minimum of twice a week, and as many as four times a week. It is based on the head coach’s assessment of the team’s needs.

Is there much travel?

We play an eight game schedule. Four of those games are played at home. Depending on where you live, that can only be a few minutes. Half of our games are on the road, so that means we could travel to New River Valley, Martinsville, Danville, Bedford, and Roanoke. There may be an occasional tournament which could include Richmond, Virginia Beach, and the northern areas of Virginia and North Carolina. That means hotel cost may be incurred.  (We do fundraiser's to help offset those cost) Some of our parents even car pool!

How do you get a child on a team?

Right now, we only have teams for 10 to 12 year old boys and girls. We are looking to create new teams in the fall of 2012 for younger and older players.
